Ryan Goral - Founder

Founded by Ryan Goral, G-Spire Group stands out in the realm of mergers and acquisitions, dedicated to empowering entrepreneurs, executives, and small business owners. With a robust foundation laid by Ryan, who brings 20 years of experience in enhancing small business ventures, the group excels in providing creative financing solutions and expert guidance through all phases of growth and acquisition strategies. Ryan's depth of expertise spans from capital structuring and strategic alignment to meticulous due diligence and seamless transaction execution.

Ryan's role as a fractional executive has brought substantial value to our clients by enhancing their management teams with his practical execution capabilities. Over the past three years, his efforts have been instrumental in the company's success, guiding 25 clients through the complexities of acquisitions and closing 16 deals worth a total of $94 million. Ryan's strategic guidance and leadership not only help our clients meet their growth targets but often surpass them, ensuring sustained success in their ventures.

Ryan, an alumnus of the University of Denver and the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he earned his MBA with a focus on Entrepreneurship, enjoys an active outdoor life when away from work. He holds two M&A certifications: Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor through AM&AA and a M&AP certificate through the IMAA.

Joan Hellmer - Senior Advisor

Joan is a financial expert with over two decades of experience in M&A, private equity, and corporate finance, built at the world’s top institutions and honed through entrepreneurial ownership. His career has spanned the full deal lifecycle—from sourcing and negotiating founder-led acquisitions to integrating and running businesses post-close.

He has top-tier foundation working with Goldman Sachs and Citigroup in their investment banking practice (M&A, LBO, and capital markets).

He is a hands-on dealmaker who has personally sourced, negotiated, and closed multiple lower-middle-market acquisitions. Joan brings an operator mindset with his experience leading the integration and management of acquired businesses, driving EBITDA growth, operational efficiency, and cultural alignment. His entrepreneurial edge is supported by his background as the Managing Principal of Viento Capital, an independent sponsor platform focused on operationally intensive buyouts.

Joan's latest experience was as the Vice President of M&A at KPI Solutions (an Ares Management portfolio company), scaling industry-leading warehouse automation businesses.

He thrives where strategy, finance, and operations intersect—building sustainable businesses, not just financial models. He is most energized by opportunities that value entrepreneurial drive, collaborative leadership, and measurable results.
